I deserve time off....don't ya think??

Hello all!!!

So I have a problem and its a biggie! Well...its a problem for me anyways, when I started this weight loss journey...my original goal weight was a pants size 14..NO I didn't just pull it out of thin air! I know that is what some people were going to say...but this believe it or not was the size I was in High school..and one day I will write a throwback blog and show you some pics....but you'll for now will just have to take my word on it. And for some people this size is anywhere between the numbers of 150-170 lbs....but it depends on height and stature...and stuff.

So yeah this was my goal...and I think it was March of 2013 that FINALLY I hit my goal!! I was stunned there I was in the Walmart changing room trying on pants when the zipped all the way up...without resistance...I just sat there for a nanosecond before I ran out and showed Ken..

"Ummm...I'm in a size 14!!!! This is my goal weight!! I can't believe it!!"

"Yeah...you look great!"

"I'm just shocked"

"Well....you've worked hard, now go change so we can go!"

Back to the present...yes it was A LOT of hard work...it wasn't always easy...there were moments when I wanted to give up and just not really worry about it, I just wanted to be "normal" and not care... But then I thought of my kids..I didn't want them to think that if you struggled to get something in life and when it got "too hard" that you could just give up. I wanted to be an example of strength for them...I wanna be the cool mom who can rock a pair of workout pants to their daughters school and not be embarrassed by the size of her thighs...yes...I told Kylie that I was gonna do that to her if I had to pick her up or drop something off at school...tehe!!  Can you imagine her face if I were to do that!!! HA!!

So now I have been stuck at this same weight for a while now! I wanna say like 3/4 months...and although I love being a size 14, and can find clothes that actually fit me in regular stores!! And I no longer have to go to a plus size store just for bras!! I would really like to break this plateau and what's the best way to do that...you may be asking....well a couple of ways.

1. Is to  eat more....yes..eat more. Now I'm not talking binge eating...but maybe an extra snack a little before bed..or up your calorie intake for a week..not by much though...

2. Take a week off from working out...I know...I know...but remember diet is 80%... So if I'm not working out for a week...I know that I will concentrate harder on what I am eating because I am not going to be burning it off..

3. HIIT training...which is hard but fun!!
Your body is always trying to figure out a way to plateau and that is why its important to have muscle confusion and that is why its important to be changing your workouts every 30 days... So needless to say I will be taking next week off from working out....and who knows I might just take off a week and a half...I will just have to see. And remember this is what works for ME...it might not work for you...so listen to your body!! Rest and yoga are so important to your routine!!
