It feels like summer to me!

Sorry my friends it has been TOO long, and I will try my best to remember everything that has happened since June.    Well....Summer has happened and with that being said....when the little's are out of school, my schedule tends to get thrown out the window. And they are all at that age where they all want to be on the computer so I don't get much blog time during the summer..

So once school let out...before I knew it it was Leslie's Birthday, she turned the big 9!! Can you believe it...*sigh* So for a while I saw her on her bike and she loved riding it but it got to the point where she would ride it then the next day, or sometimes the very same day, her back tire would go flat and no matter how many times we would replace the inner tube it would just get flat. So for her b-day we bought her a new bike!! I was so excited I could hardly contain myself...we hid it in Ken's mom's garage so that she wouldn't see it and know that the bike was for her.
She requested Evergreen Buffet for dinner which is expensive but super yummy! We had family over for cake, ice cream and presents...she was allowed to have one friend over and she's the sweetest little friend. She had so much fun!!

Following Leslie's birthday...it was time for the annual trip to Rigby Lake!! Which is always tons of fun! Sam was trying to build a big sand castle but it kept falling apart. He was able to dig out a big mote though...which made it interesting.

She's cold....although..it was like 95 degrees outside...
And then there was the week of July 4th...which I'll have to blog about tomorrow...I'm out of time folks!

I almost surrendered

It has been a really long time since I have blogged last and I know that I said I was going to blog about Girls Camp..but I will eventually get to that..but these last 2 weeks have been so hard. Like harder than normal...I felt myself wanting to give in and give up to the pain in my heart.  I thought that this latest trial would break me...I feel as though I have noghting left to give. What am I suppose to learn from this that I haven't already learned from the last one. Well...I'll start from the beginning to get you guys caught up. I am a substitute teacher and I was subbing for my son's class for about 3 weeks because his teacher had to have surgery and she was out for a while. So I'm subbing for this teacher who is great and I sometimes wonder if I'm even qualified to fill her shoes cuz guys teaching is H.A.R.D!!! And I've known most of these kids for a while...I subbed last year for and so for the most part I'm pretty comfortable with the kids...

It's the Holiday season!!!

T'was the week before Christmas when all through district #91 some choir teachers thought it would be amusing to have 2 concerts in 2 separate schools on the same night.  The parents not so much! How exactly was I suppose to show support to both daughters?!! We did what any normal parents would do in this situation...  We split up, JUST FOR THE CONCERTS!! Talk about divide and conquer baby!! It was great! Ken and Sam went to Leslie's concert...which was themed The Polar Express. And it was cute. Ken was able to get a couple of cute pictures and a video. When I watched it when we met back home...I couldn't help it...I started to cry because I don't want to miss these precious moments of her life. I don't want her to look out into the audience of anything she performs in and be that one parent who doesn't show, I can't handle that look of disappointment in my children's faces.  So that left me...and my mom to go to Kylie's concert.
