Comic-Con

This post is long over due!  And it will be mainly pictures from September 2015 as our family was blessed to be able to attend the SLC Comic-Con. It was amazing!! As you will see from all the fun pictures it was something that I will never forget!
Leslie's goal was to have her pic taken with a Harley Quinn.

Kylie's favorite character is Hawk Girl.

K This guy is SO COOL!! He's the lead singer from Kerby Krackle. They play nerd rock...and its awesome. He knew Ken by name from his Twitter handle...just cool. Check out their music...and he loved Sam...cuz ...well....who doesn't?

I'm a big WW fan...of course Sam just had to get in the action.


We rode in the train one day instead of driving...it was fun!

For a minute...I thought that this guy was Hugh Jackman...but it wasn't but Sam was blown away! He loves Wolverine.

To those of you who don't know THIS GUY is Manu Bennett. He plays Deathstroke in Arrow. HE was so awesome to talk to and while we were posing for this picture...I hit me in the forehead with his arm while trying to put his arm around me to reach Leslie..

Ok so we payed for one set of pictures and a autograph...Sam told him how good of a job he did playing Deathstroke and such. He ended up giving Sam his own autographed picture and photo taken with him..Manu also arm wrestled with Sam it was cute. He was really good to our little man.

This GUY!!! He is more known from WWE( when it was WWF) as Ron Simmons...he was the FIRST African-Amercain to hold the WCW Heavyweight Title. He talked to us for about 25min. He is awesome. One of his most famous catch phrases was "DAMN." He'd always say it when it was funny. He was also with JBL and together they were known as the APA.
See I know stuff. ;-)

We also were able to get John Barrowman's autographed picture. We talked to him and he was super nice! He had a conversation with Ken about R'as al Ghul's ring he had sitting next to him as well as a couple of others......AND he loved Sam(shocker...I know) and his red hair.
Most of this is just from the first day we were there. This was a 3 day event...and it was AMAZING!! I hope that we are able to do this again..because it is something that everyone should experience!

I almost surrendered

It has been a really long time since I have blogged last and I know that I said I was going to blog about Girls Camp..but I will eventually get to that..but these last 2 weeks have been so hard. Like harder than normal...I felt myself wanting to give in and give up to the pain in my heart.  I thought that this latest trial would break me...I feel as though I have noghting left to give. What am I suppose to learn from this that I haven't already learned from the last one. Well...I'll start from the beginning to get you guys caught up. I am a substitute teacher and I was subbing for my son's class for about 3 weeks because his teacher had to have surgery and she was out for a while. So I'm subbing for this teacher who is great and I sometimes wonder if I'm even qualified to fill her shoes cuz guys teaching is H.A.R.D!!! And I've known most of these kids for a while...I subbed last year for and so for the most part I'm pretty comfortable with the kids...

It's the Holiday season!!!

T'was the week before Christmas when all through district #91 some choir teachers thought it would be amusing to have 2 concerts in 2 separate schools on the same night.  The parents not so much! How exactly was I suppose to show support to both daughters?!! We did what any normal parents would do in this situation...  We split up, JUST FOR THE CONCERTS!! Talk about divide and conquer baby!! It was great! Ken and Sam went to Leslie's concert...which was themed The Polar Express. And it was cute. Ken was able to get a couple of cute pictures and a video. When I watched it when we met back home...I couldn't help it...I started to cry because I don't want to miss these precious moments of her life. I don't want her to look out into the audience of anything she performs in and be that one parent who doesn't show, I can't handle that look of disappointment in my children's faces.  So that left me...and my mom to go to Kylie's concert.
